 Penscola Glass Company is one of three branch operations of parent company
Dothan Glass Company, Dothan, Alabama. Dothan Glass Company was founded in the midst of
the Great Depression in 1932 by two brothers; Orlando Beal Pitman, Jr. and Earl Gray
Pitman, Sr. They founded the business on principles of honest and fair treatment of
employees and customers while supplying the highest quality possible in materials and
workmanship. A strong and abiding faith in God was a mainstay of the founders. Dothan
Glass Company is currently owned by Earl Gray Pitman, Jr. President.
Pensacola Glass Company was founded by Harold Pitman in
1936 and was originally located at 46 Chase Street in downtown Pensacola. The company
operated at the Chase Street location until the spring of 1986, when it moved to its
current location at 3901 North Palafox Street, into a new seventeen thousand plus square
foot building featuring Northwest Florida's largest showroom.
Pensacola Glass Company is a diversified company with
strong emphasis in commercial and residential glazing, automotive glass replacement and
repair along with retail glass sales. |
